Let’s go on a journey into the World of GS!
With its elaborate construction and stunning beauty,
A watch is sometimes regarded as a microcosm.
If we look closely at its details,
A breathtaking landscape spreads out before us.
Now, let’s go on a journey into the universe of Grand Seiko,
And explore what we haven’t yet seen.
Located within Seiko Epson’s Shiojiri facility, the Shinshu Watch Studio, where Grand Seiko’s quartz models are made, overlooks the Hotaka mountain range. In winter, wind-sculpted patterns appear across the untrodden surfaces of their snowy slopes, creating a scene of refined natural beauty. Capturing this poetic winter landscape, the “Snowflake” (Yukishiro in Japanese) dial pattern has become one of the most beloved designs in Grand Seiko’s repertoire.
Now, a quartz model with this dial pattern is available in a smaller 33mm case diameter. The dial, finished with a special silver-plating technique that creates a delicate texture, is accented by the vivid hue of a blued steel seconds hand, adding a subtle yet striking contrast. Designed for effortless wear by men and women alike, this is a truly versatile wristwatch.
